Day 19So after doing this cleanse for almost three weeks now and as I head towards the finish line, I would have to say that by far, the liquid breakfast portion of The Clean Program is the easiest, most enjoyable and convenient part of this entire experience. Equipped with my $15 Hamilton Beach Personal Blender, and a few key ingredients, I never really had to worry too much about what I was going to do for breakfast. Honestly, these smoothies kept me really full and I always felt like I was good and ready to go for the day. As I finish the cleanse, I know for sure smoothies for breakfast is one thing I'm going to keep in my life.
Ingredients in Clean Smoothies
|Base Liquids||almond milk, coconut water|
|Frozen Fruits||mango, pineapple, peach, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry|
*be sure to remember the elimination diet doesn't allow for strawberries, bananas & oranges!
|Sweeteners||light agave syrup - you shouldn't add too much of this, only a teaspoon or so for taste|
|Fats & Protein||coconut milk, rice milk, avocado, almond butter|
|Extras||aloe vera juice, finely grounded flaxseed meal, greens such as kale or spinach, ginger, cucumber, apples|
|Add all ingredients in blender|
|Blend till smooth & drink!|

During our 3.5 days in San Sebastian, J and I took a day trip to Bilbao to visit the Guggenheim Museum. This Guggenheim museum is one of nine Guggeheim museums in the world. When it first opened in 1997, this museum helped put Bilbao on the map and jump started its economy. Now, Bilbao flourishes as a main hub in Basque County.
