Birthday Cougar Party at Bliss Bar SF

Looking to throw a private party in San Francisco? Look no further than Bliss Bar, ranked as #5 on Maxim’s 10 Best Cougar Bars in America! A few November babies (myself included) wanted to celebrate with our friends and the private area at Bliss Bar was perfect for the occasion. My drink of the night? Definitely the Lychee Lemon Drop – the best lychee flavored drink I’ve ever had!!

For a $400 bar tab minimum plus $50 clean up charge, the Blue Room can be all yours! The area can fit at least 25-30 people seated comfortably and a total of 75. Some other perks of the space includes being able to bring in your own food, decorations, and music; they have an adapter for you to plug in your iPod. Just give them a call to reserve the space for your event. I believe we booked ours a month in advance.

In the spirit of the Cougar Bar, we gave the party a theme: The Cougar and Cougar Hunter Party. To set the mood, we decorated the area with animal print balloons and provided some props – animal masks, animal beach balls, whips (you gotta tame the beast right?). Theses decorations from Oriental Trading definitely helped set the mood and distinguished this party as a true Cougar Party.

The owner and employees at Bliss Bar were easy to work with, their bottle service prices were beyond reasonable for San Francisco ($125-$175 for hard liquor, $40-$60 for champagne) and you have the entire space from 5 PM – 2 AM. What more could you ask for? Definitely check out the Blue Room at Bliss Bar for your next event.
