Every Thursday Evening, San Francisco’s California Academy of Sciences opens their doors from to host Nightlife, an event for visitors ages 21+ [Read: no kids running around!]. For half the price of regular daytime admission, you can enjoy the academy’s aquarium, planetarium, rainforest and other exhibits. Oh, did I also mention since this is a 21+ event, they serve beer, wine and cocktails – what’s not to like about this?
DeYoung Museum sits across from the Academy in Golden Gate Park
Doors open at 6 PM and supposedly there’s quite a line at the beginning. I wouldn’t know though, because I actually didn’t get there till 8:30 PM (woops). By the way, this late arrival isn’t recommended because most of the main attractions are closed by then. Another lesson learned. However, if you do plan to arrive early, I suggest buying your tickets online to avoid potential wait time.

Clearly, I am easily amused with colorful sea creatures and harassing them by sticking my camera all up in their gill… ๐ Ha Ha. Today is Thursday, so what are you waiting for? Go check this out!
