Time flies when you’re having fun and eating well. Can’t believe we are now a party of 3, can’t wait until we can bring Baby T on a pintxo tour with us! 🥹
👩🏻‍💻 I went back to school because I was sick of d 👩🏻‍💻 I went back to school because I was sick of diet culture and wanted to hear what the scientists actually say.

What surprised me most? 

How much of nutrition science is still being figured out. Also, less surprising, the science wasn’t built for us. Not for women. Not for Asian women.

So here are 5 things I learned that changed how I think about nutrition and metabolic health:

1. Metabolic health has nothing to do with being thin
2. Your genetics matter, but they’re not the whole story
3. You can find a study to prove almost anything
4. If you’re Asian or a woman, the baseline wasn’t built for your body
5. The tools to personalize your health exist. Most of us just don’t know about them yet.

👾 being hangry between meals isn’t normal. but it 👾 being hangry between meals isn’t normal. but it is fixable.

your body has two fuel sources: glucose and fat.

when glucose drops, your hangry beast panics. it can’t switch to fat. so you crash, you can’t focus, and you need to eat again.

that’s not weakness. that’s an untrained hangry beast.

training it to switch fuels is what metabolic flexibility actually means. and it’s the shift i’ve been making for the past few years.
